Ja, dies hat mich heute doch ein wenig überrascht, als ich die Meldung sah. Alfred Koffler verlässt Pink Cream 69. Die Pinkies sind seit ihrem Debut aus dem Jahre 1989 ein absolut fester Bestandteil in meiner Diskografie und eigentlich auch nie wegzudenken. Umso grösser die Freude als ich sie im Januar am Icerock Festival wieder einmal live sehen durfte. Dabei haben sie einmal mehr abgeliefert. Nie werde ich vergessen, wie sie am Schaltjahrestag 1992 für mich den Headliner Europe an die Wand klatschten. Genauso wie drei Jahre zuvor White Lion abserviert wurden, beim ersten Besuch der Pinkies in der Schweiz. Und ich spreche hier als absoluter Fan beider Bands. Damals schon in der Band war Alfred Koffler, das einzig übrig gebliebene Gründungsmitglied von Pink Cream 69. Nun geht auch diese Ära zu Ende und ich bin gespannt, wie es mit der Band nun weitergehen wird. In seiner Abschiedsmitteilung kann man lesen, dass da nicht alles rosig war in letzter Zeit. Hi everybody.
Time to say goodbye, i am leaving the band. I want to thank everybody, who has been with me on that wild ride. I had such an amazing time and i am very grateful, that i was able to be a part of this journey.
This is not the place to go deep into details. There was a lot going on behind the scenes, that i was just not happy with anymore. Certain things within the band became really difficult and somehow just went into the wrong direction. Of course, after being 36 years in this band, this was not an easy decision for me, but at one point you have to come to a conclusion.
So again: thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the fans and people, which supported me and PC69 over the years. It always meant a lot to me.

PS From the band’s management: all agreed and contracted shows until the end of the summer of 2023 will be played with Alfred Koffler on guitar.
