Nach 10 Jahren und Tonträgern trennen sich Rob Caggiano und Volbeat. Diese Meldung kam heute abend doch ein wenig überraschend bei mir auf den Bildschirm. So wie es scheint auch per sofort, denn die dänischen Erfolgsrocker haben mit dem Gitarristen Flemming C. Lund auch schon einen Ersatz für die anstehenden Shows bereit. Flemming spielt in Bands wie The Arcane Order (Melodic Death) und Temple Of Scorn (Death Metal) doch etwas die härtere Schiene als sich Volbeat drin bewegen. Nun kann er als auch noch Elvis Metal in den Lebenslauf schreiben. In der Schweiz wird er somit schon bald am 24.06.2023 live zu sehen sein, nämlich am Summerside Festival in Grenchen. Hier nun noch das Statement der Band.
After ten incredible years we must sadly announce that Volbeat and Rob Caggiano have parted ways. During our time together we’ve traveled the world sharing great experiences and released four albums that we are immensely proud of, and we wouldn’t change a moment of it.
We wish our brother Rob all the best with everything he does in the future (we know it’s going to be great)!
Filling those shoes on stage will be a herculean task, but our good friend Flemming C. Lund (The Arcane Order) will be jumping in to handle lead guitar on our 2023 shows.
