Gründungsmitglied und Bassist Rick Newman verlässt The Treatment. Bevor ich jetzt hier wieder gross rumlabere, veröffentliche ich doch gleich besser das Original Statement der Band.

It is with much sadness and heavy hearts, that we have to inform you that Rick Newman our brother, long term friend, Treatment family member, ferocious stomper, face puller, and thunderous bass man has decided to leave the band in pursuit of new horizons.

We have all shared the most incredible experiences together, starting our journey in a small shed in Cambridge in Laurie’s garden, to playing some of the most prestigious stages around the world.

We have laughed, cried and experienced every emotion in-between as we have journeyed around the UK, USA, Australia, Japan, Canada, Russia Scandinavia and most of Europe. We have met some incredible people on our journey and shook hands and played alongside a good many of our heroes. We did this as a family and we will remain a family. These experiences will never be forgotten.

It goes without saying that whilst we completely respect his choice, we are completely gutted that Rick has decided to hang up his bass. We wish him all the luck in the world, and hope he will be happy in whatever path he chooses next.

Rick will be playing with us until we find a permanent replacement, and we are sure that in the coming years, he will pop up from time to time as our very special guest!

Whatever he goes on to do he will always be our brother and a member of The Treatment family. The love we have for Rick goes way beyond the band, and it has been an honour to play with him.

We know that you will be equally sad by this news, and will join us in wishing Rick the very best with all his future plans. Rick will be releasing his own statement to say goodbye.

So finally to Henk, Pickles Lloyd Newman, Dickie Long-Pockets, Richard Nudey Burger, Swoggle, Klonn, Noodles, The Newmanator, Snod you are a Legend and WE ALL SALUTE YOU.

Big love from Dhani, Tag, Laurie, Tao, Tom, Debs, Josh, Mags and Charlie
